At the time of completion, University Village offers the only major retail centre in Nanaimo’s University District. The most recent Phase 2 is a 22,000 sq. ft. retail strip, constructed of insulated concrete tilt-up panels. Capo was hired to perform as the General Contractor of this development. Crews worked efficiently within this busy corridor to perform on-site formwork of varying panel heights. The facade of the building features a number of different finishes to add depth to the architectural design.
